White sage has been used for centuries by Native Americans in purifying rituals and cleansing ceremonies, its distinct clean scent is believed to drive away any bad spirits. Palo Santo or 'Holy Wood' is the name given to the wood of Bursera Graveolens, a wild tree native to South America. Palo Santo wood is used in the same way as white sage to cleanse negative energies and heal the body and soul.
